The MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has offered a Digital Literacy Now Grant for public schools, grades 6-8.
Selected public Schools were given funding to support Digital Literacy.

The Digital Literacy Now (DLN) grant is a new Massachusetts competitive grant to establish and promote rigorous, engaging, and standards aligned digital literacy and computer science education in public schools in kindergarten through grade 12.
The DLN grant is administered by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and CSforMA, Inc. was selected to serve as the Curriculum and Professional Development Coordinator as part of the for Academic year 2019-2020.
The first cohort of this grant was for the Academic year 2019-2020, focused on middle grades (6–8) Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) implementation. CSforMA, Inc. engaged a total of 27 District Teams of district administrators, school leaders and educators develop an DLCS implementation plan for their district, and connected 172 educators to professional development.
