Information for district teams participating in the CS Engage grant program

MEETING SCHEDULE

Meetings 1 and 2 – In-Person, 2 Days (12 hours)

DISTRICT VISIONING USING SCRIPT

Meetings were held Nov-Dec 2023 in locations around Massachusetts

Districts will bring together a district team consisting of District Leaders, Building Leaders, Counselors, Teachers and Support Staff to participate in a series of collaborative visioning, self-assessment and goal-setting exercises to create or expand upon their digital literacy and computer science education. This meeting will result in the creation of a deeper vision for their district in order to develop a plan to move forward this year.

Meeting 3 – Virtual, 2 hours

GAP ANALYSIS OF EXISTING CURRICULUM

January 8th, 1-3pm -OR- January 10th, 10am-12pm (Virtual)

Meeting 4 – Virtual, 2 hours

Goal setting for additional and new curriculum/HQIM

March 7th, 11:00 – 2:00 to accommodate travel time, includes lunch

Districts will examine curricular options for the district and begin to identify curricula and brainstorm the educators that will need professional development this summer.
